When internal cine sources estimate Daggubati family as one of the richest and most calculated, it is Rana who feels the other way. The entrepreneur who turned to an actor has diversified interests in various fields. Initially, Rana floated a company of his own related to films but sold it only to get in front of camera. Now he is far more matured trying to explore a deep artist in him.
"I was always attached and involved with films. Presently I am concentrating on acting. In future I might get into technical aspects of film making," said Rana sharing his passion for movies and movie making.
Besides this, Rana is a die hard cricket lover like his babai Venkatesh. Rana played for Hyderabad Cricket league in college days. The young hero also claims that he was the fastest bowler of the team. Extending his interest, Rana has a plan to buy an IPL Team but grins that he can't afford. "I would love to buy an IPL team, but I can't afford one," he quotes.
Ace director Puri Jagannadh is one of the finest directors of Telugu cinema to have his own style of treating the stories. Right from his 'Idiot' to the latest 'Golimaar', all of his movies have a different flavor to entertain both class and mass.
However, the same kind of magic is missing in the hands of Meher Ramesh who assisted Puri in superhit films like 'Pokiri' and 'Desamuduru'. In all the three films he made, Meher looks like blowing same pipe with different tunes. The entire three commercial flicks he made, 'Kantri', 'Billa' and 'Shakti' are caught in the web of 'flops'. They left smiles on producer's face however, without making any loss although no profit. Despite of all his sick flicks, Meher's extra ordinary talent is to pull out producers to invest on him. Buzz is that Geetha Arts signed a film with Meher to direct Allu Arjun in an upcoming venture.
'Jalsa' was the last breathtaking hit from Pawan Kalyan. Years passed and 'Puli' failure abashed his career upsetting the fans. In contrast Pawan Kalyan has been growing miles and miles in image unmatched to any other hero in Tollywood. Under these tough circumstances, the most awaited movie 'Teen Maar' released in theatres on Thursday with extraordinary openings.
As per a report of producer Ganesh Babu, it is mind blowing to hear that 'Teen Maar' made a gross of Rs.9.4 Crores on the first day of release. The whopping shares of Nizam with Rs. 1.7 Crores, Ceded with Rs. 94 Lakhs, Guntur with Rs. 57 Lakhs, West Godavari with Rs. 39 Lakhs, East Godavari with Rs. 34 Lakhs and Krishna with Rs. 34 Lakhs are new records in every territory. If the positive mouth of talk is spread evenly in entire week, 'Teen Maar' may go onto reach a mark of more than Rs. 30 Crores in first week, an all time industry record. Unquestionably Pawan Kalyan is settling all th…
Suddenly, Telugu audiences were shocked when this child actor became a hero at a tender age. Despite of his repeated attacks as a hero, the young boy looks like a kid and same is his maturity. Widely discussed guy in Tollywood now is none other than young hero Tanish.
With only two hits to his tender career, Tanish is now beating his head to make his place stable in Telugu Industry. When we look closely, Tanish's hit films 'Nachavule' and 'Ride' are the only ones where he played a youth role of his age. Afterwards, all his flicks project him as a highly matured hero despite his childish looks and gestures. These over matured roles in 'Mounaraagam', 'Em Pillo Em Pillodo' and 'Manchivadu' are the examples of how awkward he looks. Industry experts are saying that Tanish has no maturity to select the roles that suit him best. What looks obvious is the forced exit of this boy-hero, if he doesn't tighten his shoestrings.
Having worked with NTR in ‘Rakhi’ and ‘Shakti’ and pairing up with Rana for the first time in ‘Nenu Naa Rakshasi’, the latest discussion making rounds is that Ileana has insulted both of them terribly. That too, while taking part in the promotion event of ‘Nenu Naa Rakshasi’.
Apparently, Ileana was asked who her favorite hero is and she replied ‘Ravi Teja’. Not stopping at that, she added “He is my all time favorite hero”. By saying this, she has insulted all the heroes that she worked with. Ileana has paired up with Ravi Teja in the super flop film ‘Khatarnak’ followed by the super hit ‘Kick’. The only two heroes to repeat Ileana are Ravi Teja and NTR.
In that situation, by declaring Ravi Teja as her all-time favorite hero, Ileana has hurt the egos of all the other heroes. However, since she has lifted the spirits of Ravi Teja in the sky with this statement, the chances of her getting a third project with Ravi Teja looks sure.
Offices of mega producers like Allu Aravind, Dil Raju and Suresh Babu looks almost like the deciders of Film Industry's fate. Projects produced by these star producers pave way for many young directors to start their sparkling career in the industry.
According to grapevine, many politics between some castes are playing a key role in giving opportunities to youngsters at Geetha Arts office. The production house is owned by mega producer Allu Aravind and co-partnered by many other big-wigs. It is heard that Geetha Arts gives opportunities to persons of particular caste most of the times. Directors like VV Vinayak, Sukumar and Trivikram are said to be hailing from same community and hence they are patronized by Geetha Arts a lot is the talk. The strongest point to be discussed in Film Nagar is GA's affinity towards a particular section, though persons from different caste and creed have worked with Allu Aravind many times.
Kollywood heartthrob Tamanna is replaced by seasoned actress Trisha in two films. Incidentally the two films are remakes of Bollywood.
Bollywood hit film 'Tanu weds Manu' starred by Madhavan and Kangana is soon to be remade in Tamil and Telugu with Madhavan and Trisha in the lead. This romantic comedy was earlier planned with Karthi and Tamannah.
The latest buzz in Kollywood is that Trisha is also starring in the Tamil remake of last year's Bollywood hit 'Band Baaja Baaraat'. According to sources, in the Tamil remake which is said to be produced by UTV, Trisha will reprise the role of Shruti Kakkar (played by Anushka Sharma in the original version) who aspires to be a wedding planner. Tamannah was approached to do the film initially, but Trisha replaced Tamannah in the end. Hero of the movie is yet to be decided.
Looks like Trisha is a hot favourite for remakes in the south. The peppy girl, who is on a high in Tollywood with her remakes Teen Maar (Love Aaj Kal) and Bo…
