Ever since the film ‘Shakti’ was in the making, many were apprehensive about the directorial abilities of Meher Ramesh. Much to their fears, the film turned out to be a colossal disaster and since then, he is being bombarded right from the Nandamuri fans to the regular audience.
Now, it is heard that a businessman’s daughter has also aimed her guns on Meher and she is no ordinary girl. We are talking about Lakshmi Pranathi, Studio N owner Narne Srinivas’s daughter and fiancée of Junior NTR. Apparently, sources say Lakshmi was miffed with the director after watching ‘Shakti’ with great anticipation.
Incidentally, if the film was getting a super hit before their marriage then it would have been a cheerful moment but unfortunately that didn’t happen. Sources close to Narne family reveal Lakshmi felt that Meher Ramesh is the cause for the flop and was disappointed with him.
YSR Congress Party president Y S Jaganmohan Reddy is likely to get either “cot” of “candle” as his election symbol in the by-elections to Kadapa Lok Sabha seat.
According to party sources, Jagan has applied to the Election Commission of India seeking either of these two symbols for him in the by-elections. His mother Vijayalakshmi also might ask for a similar symbol, though it is not necessary that she might get the same symbol. Both Jagan and his mother are likely to be treated as independents officially, though they might campaign on behalf of the YSR Congress Party.
Interestingly, another independent candidate Mahmood Basha lodged a complaint with the EC authorities, asking them to direct Jagan not to use the title YSR Congress Party as the issue is still pending in the court. “Jagan should not campaign in the name of YSR Congress Party, since the title belongs to me,” he said.
