Telangana students launch fast-unto-death

Demanding the introduction of separate Telangana Bill in the ongoing Parliament session, nearly 30 Telangana students launched a fast-unto-death at the Arts College in the Osmania University campus on Thursday.

“We want the introduction of separate Telangana Bill in the ongoing Parliament session. The students leaders also demanded that the elected representatives of the …

Theatres shut down for Cricket matches

As audiences are gluing to Television sets at their homes, theater owners are facing tough time to run the shows. About 10 percent of theaters in Andhra Pradesh are closed temporarily.

“Theaters never faced this much lack of patronage. Cricket matches are taking away the audiences’ attention. And on the day Indian team plays, not a single person is coming to the theaters in small towns. Rather than running the theaters for 20 or 30 members, it is better not to exhibit the film. That way power and other maintenance charges can be saved. Now exhibitors voluntarily closed the theaters for time being till the matches end or summer big releases come in,” said a leading exhibitor in Nizam area.

Dongalamuta is a superhit: Varma

Ramgopal Varma who made Dongalamuttha in record number of four and a half days and released it in 33 days ever since the inception of the project, announced that his movie is a superhit.

Varma declared that though they shot this film on a Cannon 5D camera and not the regular Super 35 cam, not a single member from the audience found out the difference. He said that most of the audience were happy with the visuals despite shooting it in a still camera.

He claimed that there are two parameters to measure a 'hit'. The first one is how much a producer spent in making the film, how much the distributor bought it for and how much they got back. But since in this case producers didn't spend more than Rs 6 lakh and the distribution rights were not sold, everything they got is a profit.

The second parameter is says is comparing the collections of this movie to the last movie of the hero. He also released the table chart comparing Raviteja's Mirapakayi with this movie. M…

Srija Gives Clean Chit To Father-In-Law

Megastar Chiranjeevi’s daughter Srija might have lodged a complaint with the Central Crime Station police against her husband Sirish Bharadwaj and mother-in-law for harassing and torturing her physically for more dowry.

But she is believed to have given a clean chit to her father-in-law Ramana Murthy. “He is a gentleman and has not said any bad word about me. He used to treat me as his daughter,” Srija told the police in her complaint.

Srija said she used to inform her parents about the alleged harassment by Sirish and his mother through e-mails regularly. But, the police did not believe her version so easily as there were several contradictions in her complaint. They asked her to produce the transcript of the e-mails and the replies from her parents as evidence. So far, she could not produce the same, it is learnt.

The police are said to be trying to bring a compromise between Srija and Sirish, rather than going in for breaking of the marriage.

Harish Behind Cross-Voting In TRS?

Now that it is confirmed that three TRS legislators had resorted to cross voting for the Congress candidate in the MLC elections, the party leadership has started making enquiries as to who these black sheep were.

According to preliminary inquiry based on circumstantial evidence, the party is believed to have zeroed in on three MLAs – K Vidyasagar Rao of Korutla in Karimangar district, E Ravinder Reddy of Yellareddy in Nizamabad district and Kaveti Sammaiah of Sirpur in Adilabad district.

Initially, it was thought that G Aravinda Reddy of Mancherial was one among them, but later he turned out to be innocent.

What is more shocking to the party leadership is that it was TRS president K Chandrasekhara Rao’s nephew and Siddipet MLA T Harish Rao, who was allegedly the brain behind this cross voting by the TRS legislators. He had reportedly arranged a meeting between these MLAs and Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy secretly and bargained the deal. How much each of them got for their votes is …

Ex Villain's Wife Gets Huge Demand

It is rather uncommon that wives of heroes or any successful actors tend to be in the cine field and make their mark. But here is one lady who is not only the wife of a villain but she has carved a niche of her own in southern cinema. She is none other than Rohini, wife of the iconic villain Raghuvaran.

After having made her presence felt as a heroine and in other character driven roles, lately Rohini has got into professional dubbing. She has dubbed the voice for ‘Geetanjali’ heroine Girija and was also seen in the recent hit ‘Ala Modalaindi’ as the hero’s mother.

That way, Rohini has been in demand both as a dubbing artist and also for mother roles. Many in the cine circuit say soon she might be replacing the likes of Jayasudha and Suhasini Mani Ratnam. Many fans of late Raghuvaran are able to make up for his absence by seeing his talented wife onscreen.

Kajal's 2-Piece Bikini in Bollywood?

It is without doubt that Kajal Agarwal is the hottest among the top league heroines in southern circuit. However, she has taken precaution never to cross the line when it comes to exposing. But then, all these barriers are broken whenever a call from Bollywood comes and even the likes of Asin and Trisha were no exceptions.

Now, it is heard that Kajal Agarwal is all set to show her bold avatar and that too in the southern circuit if needed. Sources say Kajal is keen on keeping herself a step ahead of the rest in terms of glamour quotient. As a result, the most sought after bikini scene might be the ultimate weapon from her.

As it is, Kajal has got her debut venture in Bollywood so sources close to her reveal she is willing to give a two-piece bikini show if needed. The cine members say if that happens then it is not only a visual extravaganza but will also be a shock to see this pretty girl in the form of a saucy seductress.
