Director General of Police K Aravinda Rao on Saturday denied that cases against some leaders under section 307 (Attempt to Murder) were booked in the aftermath of the violence at the Tank Bund on Thursday during the Million March. Mr Aravinda Rao in a statement said that the reports which appeared in a section of the media that cases of attempt to murder were registered against some top leaders are incorrect.
'All sections of Law do not apply to all persons,' the statement said. 'While some people may be accused of violence, some will be accused only for conspiracy under Section 120 (B) of the CrPC,' the DGP stated. The DGP also said that there was no truth in the reports appearing in media that there was a 'blame game' in the police department, with officers trying to pass on the blame for the incidents on each other. 'Such news reports are clearly motivated and calculated to weaken the morale of the Police Department,' Mr Aravinda Rao said.
Vijayashanti has reached a stage where she has lost the respect as an actress and earned the curse of the people for her antics as a politician. While god has been kind to give her the MP seat, the lady Amitabh is currently seeing a threat and strong competition from her ‘sister’.
Well, that sister is none other than Kavita, daughter of KCR. Apparently, Vijayashanti was considered the second fiddle to KCR at one point for whatever reasons. But those days of glory are over as sources say Kavita has been gaining the impression and confidence of many from within the TRS party circles.
A noted TRS leader said “Vijayashanti behaves like a lunatic. She has this fits of emotion and suddenly starts shouting and the next moment goes mild. Kavita is a better leader she has no emotional hysteria and histrionics. Whatever the situation is, she talks in a balanced manner and with proper usage of words.” Wonder what ‘Akka’ Vijayashanti has to say to this.
There is a strong rumour going on in the media circles that a section of Seemandhra business lobby had offered Rs 50 crore to Telangana political joint action committee chairman Prof M Kodandaram to stop the agitation.According to these rumours, the Seemandhra lobby has come to the conclusion that Prof Kodandaram is more powerful than Telangana Rashtra Samithi president K Chandrasekhara Rao and that the JAC chairman’s call gets more response from the people of Telangana. A mediator from the Andhra business house which has taken up several irrigation projects in Telangana and part of outer ring road project in Hyderabad approached Kodandaram last week and asked him to withdraw the Telangana agitation and leave the matter to the Centre till May. In return, he was offered Rs 50 crore. For any person of Kodandaram’s status, Rs 50 crore is too hefty an amount. However, he did not accept the same as the damage it would cause to his image would be much higher than benefits he woul…
Usually, it is the habit of Ramgopal Varma to give shocks to all with his questions but this time, it was his turn to face an interesting situation. All this happened during the pressmeet on the eve of his ‘Dongala Mutha’ teaser and the concepts behind the making of this film.
A noted journalist Madhu from Sakshi group asked “since the film is made with zero budget, why not have an option wherein the audience watch the film and then decides whether to give money if they like it?”. The immediate reaction from Ramu was ‘Abbaaa…..Aaasa!!’
While Madhu got his answer, another person Suresh Kondeti from Santosham magazine asked “by doing KSD Appalaraju, the talk is that Sunil’s career got a setback. Now with Ravi Teja flying high in his career, do you think ‘Dongala Mutha’ might hamper his graph?”.For this, director Harish Shankar who was present answered and quoted the example of ‘Shock’ with Ravi Teja which brought smiles to all.
“Suresh ji! You know how we both as director and …
Though these are the days of Wii Game and X-Box, nothing beats the memory of a childhood game like Snakes And Ladders. And right now, one hot heroine is said to be playing this game with not one or two but three heroes. Before you imagine any further, all this is happening in a film and the heroine we are talking about is Tashu Kaushik.
Apparently, Tashu will be seen in the new movie ‘Vaikuntapali’ (the Telugu name for Snakes and Ladders) and the film has Krishnudu, Ajay and Ranadheer in the lead. Slated to be a variety entertainer packed with interesting elements, the film is directed by Anil Gopireddy.
The highlight of the movie is said to be the cinematography by Jawahar Reddy and inside talk is, the film has shaped up well. While the combination of Krishnudu with Ajay is raising interest in the cine folks, already the buzz about Tashu’s performance and her looks is catching up in film nagar area. Let us see how interesting this game gets..
Politics is no longer about leading people and doing something good for society. It is business and about making money while in power or by other means. Right now, TRS head KCR is sitting on a golden throne using the Telangana sentiment and has been exercising his muscle power on the hapless non- Telangana Telugu people.
Here is a tidbit which we received from a person close to KCR. It is heard that some of the noted private institutions like Narayana, Vignan etc came together and collected Rs 20 crores and gave it to KCR before the ‘Million March’ began. Apparently, they wanted to ensure that the examinations of the inter students doesn’t get affected and sources say they requested KCR to stop his men from causing trouble to the students.
Another gossip making rounds is that a part of it may have been given to the concerned officials to turn a blind eye when the Telangana protestors will desecrate the statues on Tank Bund. Already, many analysts have confirmed that this w…
An infuriated Indian captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni today blasted his batsmen for "playing to the gallery rather than for the country" after the home side's three-wicket defeat at the hands of South Africa in a World Cup Group B encounter here.
India suffered a stunning batting collapse as they lost nine wickets for only 29 runs to crumble to 296 all out in 48.4 overs after being 267 for one in the 40th over.
"When you try to hit those big shots, you tend to forget that you are playing for the country and not for the crowd. In the process of trying to get those 20 extra runs, you end up scoring 40 runs less," Dhoni told reporters at the post-match press conference.
"Some were playing to the gallery rather than for the country," he said curtly, when asked about the assessment of today's performance.
